A letter from the Coalition
Like-minded Independent and 3rd Party progressive candidates, for both Congressional Chambers are joining together for an Independent surge for the 2012 election cycle beyond.
As you know all too well, bi-partisan cooperation has turned into bi-partisan gridlock. Creation of a strong coalition (not a Party) alternative would force both major parties to cooperate so they are outwardly seen as part of the solution instead of the problem. Multi-party democracies have been very successful throughout the world and we are the ONLY modern democracy that continues to stubbornly adhere to a 2-Party system.
Completely legal manipulation of Congress by lobbyists, corporations and PACs, driven by short-sighted greed, have resulted in practically treasonous legislation and trade agreements that have robbed our country of millions of jobs and dashed the hopes and aspirations of millions more. I know you love America as much as I do. We can’t keep doing the same thing year after year and expect different results. The 2012 election cycle may well seal the fate for all of us if we don’t pull together and make dramatic moves that takes us out of our ‘comfort zone’. Your involvement in helping to catapult this Independent coalition drive would greatly serve to change the political landscape and pull us back from the brink of disaster.
Irrespective of political leanings, all coalition members have agreed to abide by certain fundamental core values that inspire credibility and truly reflect a ‘government of the people, by the people and for the people’.
